About

The groundwork was layed early on when Lisa started working as a bookkeeper for a local advertising agency in 1985 and Makana accepted a safety consultant position with a large professional employer organization (PEO) in 1993 and eventually went on to manage their Salem branch in 1999. Having collectively acquired years of experience in payroll, HR, safety, and workers’ comp, they decided to open up shop in 2009 and eventual grew the business to become a local favorite. In 2017 the company generated $9.7 million in sales while servicing a wide range of clientele including, wood products, construction, professional services, cannabis, restaurants, and religious organizations.

Today, they continue to manage a smaller book of business (age finally caught up to them) with Payroll Resources and PBSI, the professional employer organization they connected with in 2003.
